The RYOBI 48 V 42-inch electric zero-turn replaces the traditional gas zero-turn with a quiet, maintenance-light battery-electric platform that mows up to 2 hours on a charge — enough to handle 2.5–3 acres in a single session for most yards. Power comes from RYOBI’s 48 V battery system, with 75 Ah of onboard capacity (3.6 kWh).
Dual brushless drive motors deliver instant, precise torque to the rear wheels, while dual brushless blade motors spin the cutting deck. There is no engine to start, no oil to change, no spark plugs to swap and no fuel to store. Push the start button, release the lap-bar parking position and you are mowing — typically at noise levels low enough to mow at sunrise without bothering the neighborhood.
The 42-inch fabricated steel deck features dual blades for a clean cut and 12 cut-height positions between 1.5 and 4.5 inches. Onboard features include a USB charging port, LED headlights, a 7-inch LCD instrument display showing battery state of charge and run-time estimates, and cruise control for long straight passes. The high-back seat with armrests and dual cup holders makes long mows comfortable.
Recharge from any standard 120 V household outlet. Backed by a 3-year residential warranty (5 years on the battery pack).

Switching to an electric zero-turn has been a dream
I was nervous about switching to an electric zero-turn, but the 48V has been a dream. It's so quiet and incredibly easy to handle. I love that I can just 'grab and go' without dealing with gas or oil. AKASHOP made it easy to find the right fit for my backyard, and the delivery was spot on. Highly recommend!
Matches the description and photos perfectly. Easy setup and works like a charm. Customer service was responsive and helpful when I inquired about tracking details.
Build quality is solid with heavy steel tubing. Hydrostatic transmission is ultra-responsive and blade engagement is instantaneous. Deck wash port makes cleaning grass build-up effortless.
Cuts clean even at higher travel speeds. Fuel efficiency is great and the large fuel tank means fewer stops. Great visibility over the front caster wheels.
