Collection: Garden Sheds & Storage

Resin, steel and wood sheds and storage buildings from Suncast, Lifetime, Handy Home, Arrow and more.

How to choose a shed

A shed clears the garage and gives tools, mowers and bikes a dry home. Choose the size for what you store today plus a little more, then the material that suits your climate and your time for maintenance.

1

Size

An 8 × 6 ft shed holds garden tools and a push mower. An 8 × 10 ft shed fits a riding mower. 10 × 12 ft and larger works as a workshop.

2

Resin, steel or wood

Resin sheds never rot or rust and need almost no maintenance. Steel is strong and affordable. Wood can be painted, modified and fitted with shelves, but needs periodic sealing.

3

Foundation

Every shed needs a level base: a gravel pad, concrete slab or timber frame. A level base keeps doors square and extends the life of the floor.

4

Permits

Many towns exempt small sheds, often up to 120 sq ft, but rules vary. Check with your city or HOA before ordering a large building.

Questions & answers

Does the shed come with a floor?

Many resin sheds include a floor; most wood and steel sheds do not. The product description says whether a floor is included.

How long does assembly take?

A small resin shed takes two people a few hours; a 10 × 12 ft wood shed can take a weekend.

Can a riding mower fit through the doors?

Check the door opening width in the specifications against your mower's width with the deck, and add a ramp if the floor is raised.
