Collection: Pinball & Arcade

New-in-box pinball machines from Stern, Jersey Jack and American Pinball, plus arcade cabinets.

How to choose a pinball machine

A new pinball machine is a long-term purchase that holds its value well. Pick the theme you will enjoy for years, then choose the model level that fits your budget.

1

Model levels

Stern sells most titles as Pro, Premium and Limited Edition. Pro has the core game; Premium adds toys, mechanisms and features; LE adds premium finishes and a limited production run.

2

Space

Allow roughly 30 in wide by 55 in deep for the cabinet, plus room to stand and play. Check doorways and stairs: the machine can be separated from its legs and backbox for moving.

3

Theme and rules

Play the game or watch full gameplay videos before buying. A deep rule set keeps a machine fun for years, far more than the license alone.

4

Home or route

Home use needs no coin door; most new machines come set to free play and can be switched.

Questions & answers

How much maintenance does pinball need?

Clean and wax the playfield a few times a year, replace rubbers when they wear, and keep the balls clean. Modern LED machines need far less work than older models.

Does a pinball machine hold its value?

Popular new-in-box titles often resell close to the purchase price, and limited editions can gain value.

How is it delivered?

Pinball machines ship boxed on a pallet by freight. The box weighs around 300 lb, so plan two strong people or a hand truck to bring it inside.
