Billing policy

When an order becomes a contract

Placing an order is an offer to buy. The contract starts when we send the dispatch email, not when the payment is authorised. Until then we may still decline the order and release the authorisation in full.

Orders we may refuse

  • Quantities beyond normal private use, or repeated orders from the same card, address or account that look like resale without a trade agreement.
  • A billing address that does not match the card, or a delivery address we cannot serve with freight equipment.
  • Obvious pricing errors. If a machine is listed at a price that is clearly wrong, we contact you before charging and you decide whether to proceed at the correct price.

If we change or cancel an order we write to the email address used at checkout.

How the charge appears

The charge shows on your statement under our trading name, AKASHOP. You are charged once, at the total shown on the order confirmation. We never store your card details ourselves; the payment is handled by our payment provider.

Currency

Prices are held in US dollars and converted daily for display in your currency. Your bank converts at its own rate on the day of the charge, so the amount on your statement can differ slightly from the amount shown at checkout. Any currency fee is set by your bank, not by us.

Duplicate charges and pending authorisations

A failed payment can leave a pending authorisation on your account for a few days. It is not a charge and it disappears on its own. If you see the same amount taken twice, send us the order number and we refund the duplicate the same working day.
