The Backyard Discovery Ridgedale Pergola pairs the architectural charm of a classic pergola with something you do not see often in this category — built-in conversation seating. Instead of buying a separate outdoor furniture set to fill the structure, the Ridgedale arrives with integrated benches that comfortably seat up to six people inside the pergola footprint. The result is an immediately usable outdoor room ideal for fire pit nights, casual dinners or quiet shaded afternoons.
Construction is fully metal: 100% galvanized steel with a premium powder-coated finish that resists rust, corrosion and UV fade, so there is no annual staining, sealing or repainting in your future. Clean traditional lines complement homes ranging from craftsman to modern farmhouse.
For evenings on the deck, the Ridgedale includes the same PowerPort™ system found on Backyard Discovery’s premium pergolas — three weather-resistant outlets routed through the frame, ready for café lights, a Bluetooth speaker or a fan. A breathable, UV-protected canopy adds soft daytime shade without trapping heat.
The Ridgedale uses concealed anchor plates and reinforced posts for a stable, low-profile footprint, so the structure looks clean from every angle. Pre-drilled components and labeled hardware keep installation reasonable for a DIY pair over a weekend.
